Swift Fix operates a 15,000 lb self-contained mobile shop. Due to the weight, hardware complexity, and safety requirements of motorized bicycles, our e-bike services are strictly divided by motor type.
For safety, liability, and tooling constraints, Swift Fix strictly does not service the following vehicles under any circumstances:
Bosch, Shimano STEPS, Yamaha, DJI Avinox, Specialized, Brose, Trek
Standard bicycle mechanics apply to premium mid-drive machines. Because these systems utilize standard thru-axles and high-quality mechanical components, they qualify for our standard analog bicycle service pricing ($85 Local / $99 Standard Minimum). We do not service the internal electrical motors or batteries on these units.
E-bikes equipped with throttles and high-powered front or rear hub motors.
Common Brands: Aventon, Rad Power Bikes, Lectric, Himiway, Ride1Up, etc.
Higher motor power and throttles place extreme stress on standard bicycle components. These systems require additional time, heavy-duty tooling, and complex electrical and hardware routing to service safely.
The $150 baseline fee covers the deployment of the mobile shop, heavy-lifting equipment, and baseline diagnostics. It is non-negotiable and non-refundable, regardless of the repair outcome—whether a fix takes 60 seconds or if the proprietary electronics are deemed unrepairable.
Off-brand brakes on 80lb+ throttled e-bikes pose a severe safety and liability risk. If your hub-drive e-bike is not equipped with recognized, high-quality brakes (strictly Tektro, TRP, or Magura), we do not offer brake bleeds or adjustments. We only offer a full system replacement using Tektro hydraulic brakes for $200 (front and rear hardware) plus standard labor.
We provide mechanical optimization for e-bikes. We do not splice wires, rebuild hub motors, test lithium cells, or diagnose internal controller failures. If a mechanical symptom is traced back to a proprietary electrical failure, the minimum diagnostic fee still applies, and you will need to contact the manufacturer for parts.
Service on high-powered hub-drive e-bikes is performed strictly "as-is." A standard tune-up cannot compensate for the extreme torque these motors apply to entry-level drivetrains and components. We will optimize the bike to the physical limit of its hardware, but we do not guarantee premium analog performance on throttled machines.
